DIRECTOR

As Director, owner and founder of the business, Trevor is responsible for the provision of technical expertise to ALL staff in relation to our products / services – precast concrete, structural steel and construction project management in the areas of industrial / commercial infrastructure, agricultural and specialist residential markets. Trevor started Barfoote Construction in 1989 when he was asked to build a cow shed for his uncle. The story and subsequent journey continues to grow with the company possessing an established portfolio of world-class assets supported by an exceptional skills base.
GENERAL MANAGER
Rob Malone – rob.malone@barfoote.com
As General Manager, Rob is responsible for the provision of leadership & implementation of both strategic and operational direction and management of the group of companies. Rob joined Barfoote’s in April 2008. He has had extensive experience in senior management roles in the sporting and finance field since 1997 in both Australia and New Zealand. Rob completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Curtin University (Perth, Western Australia), where he majored in Economics & Finance. His affiliations include being Chairman of the MNZIOB Northland Chapter Board.
COMMERCIAL MANAGER
Murray Blade – murray.blade@barfoote.com
As Commercial Manager, Murray is responsible for our commercial infrastructure portfolio. Murray joined Barfoote's in June 2007 after a successful construction career in Auckland with Hawkins Construction. Murray is trade qualified with 20 years experience in project management. He is also affiliated to the MNZIOB as a registered Construction Manager.
MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
Audrey Greig – audrey.greig@barfoote.com

As the organisation’s accountant, Audrey is responsible for managing all aspects of the group’s financial resources, providing high level support to the General Manager. Audrey joined Barfoote’s in March 2006 with over 10 years experience in the financial / office management field.
PROJECT MANAGER
Bill Sharplin – bill.sharplin@barfoote.com

As the group’s Commercial Project Manager, Bill oversees all our various commercial projects. He was the Project Manager for the Dargaville Swimming Pool project (completed January, 2010). Bill has overseen a number of familiar landmark projects in Whangarei and surrounding areas. Bill has over 20 years in project management.
PROJECT MANAGER
Colin Spedding – colin.spedding@barfoote.com

As Project Manager, Colin is responsible for managing all aspects of the execution phase of projects in our commercial and agricultural areas. He works closely with our QS department to ensure jobs are built to specification, within the established timeframes and program budget. Colin has been a member of the Barfoote team since 2002 and has more than 40 years experience in the construction sector. He is a carpenter by trade.

As Manager of Northland Precast Concrete (NPC), Steve is responsible for overseeing our precast factory – its staff, budget, quality assurance and program of works. Steve joined Barfoote’s in June 2008 with 20 years experience in all aspects of precast manufacturing where he was formerly with Stress Crete, Wilson Precast and Humes Concrete Pipes in Auckland.
SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Mark Thomas ANZIQS MNZIOB - mark.thomas@barfoote.com
As our Senior Quantity Surveyor, Mark is responsible for the group’s QS department, it’s pricing and methodology. He works closely with our Project Managers to ensure established budgets are met for each job. Mark joined the company in September 2009 with over 23 years experience in the QS area in New Zealand and oversees.
QUANTITY SURVEYOR / ESTIMATOR
Tim Stratford – tim.stratford@barfoote.com
As Quantity Surveyer / Estimator, Tim is responsible for pricing and coordinating jobs undertaken by the company. In addition, he oversees large tender submissions on behalf of the group. Tim joined Barfoote’s in July 2008 with 6 years experience in the residential QS area where he was with Homeworld. A local Whangarei boy, Tim is currently completing his QS Diploma at the Open Polytechnic.
