Milking Sheds - Herringbone and Rotary, Feed Pads, Concrete Raceways, Cattle Underpasses, Silage Bunkers/Pads, Feed Troughs, Palm Kernel Bins, Fertilizer Bins and Specialist Farm Buildings - our agricultural buildings are internationally competitive. Barfoote Construction has built numerous milking sheds throughout Northland and Central North Island. Our export division has operated in North and South America and in Europe. Some of the largest and most innovative herringbone and rotary style milking sheds in Northland are Barfoote Construction projects, and are used as reference sites for the dairy industry in the region.

Rotary Shed
Barfoote Rotary Cowsheds are designed for the requirements of the high producing dairy farmer, who wants to reduce labour expenditure and time spent in the cowshed. Choose from a range of our standard portal designs or be a little more adventurous and consider our modern curved concrete arch option which offers increased space and is aesthetically appealing. Surprisingly affordable.

Herringbone Shed
Barfoote Herringbone Milking Sheds are cost effective, simple dairy designs that suit the requirements of a farmer who milks 100 - 400 cows. Choose from our standard designs or customize to suit your requirements.

Feedpad and Roof Structure
Barfoote Construction design and build cattle feedpads to suit the client’s requirements. Each design is customized to suit existing and future requirements on the farm.

Customized options include stand alone feedpad slabs, feedpads with roof structures (typically steel portal with timber roof or pole and timber construction) and we supply and install extras, including customized gates, feed troughs, water troughs and steel post and rail cattle barriers.

Barfoote Construction also design and install systems using recycled cowshed effluent to flood wash the feedpad.

Upgrades/Extensions
Barfoote Construction specialise in upgrading and extending cowsheds to help meet the farmers increasing demands and growth. Upgrades are done to specifically meet Fonterra Compliance and we liaise with Fonterra to achieve this compliance.

Barfoote designs are internationally acknowledged and recognised. Trevor Barfoote (owner) has 19yrs experience in the design and build of specialised Milking/Dairy Sheds. We have many satisfied clients both here in New Zealand and overseas. We offer a site visit and estimate (free of charge) including a one page concept design to the farmer’s brief.
